TCOM Students awarded for The Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay Documentary

A team of Ball State Telecommunications students were recently awarded the Summit Emerging Media Award for their work on the Torch Relay Documentary.

The award is part of an international competition which received more than 1200 entries. Fewer than 6 percent of the entries were chosen for awards.

Students partnered with the Indiana Office of Tourism to develop a 37-minute documentary, honoring the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay.

The relay traveled through 260 cities and all 92 Indiana Counties. Throughout the relay, the torch was carried a total of 3,226 miles by 2,242 torchbearers.

The documentary is scheduled to air on WFYI Saturday, February 25 at 10 p.m.
