Last October, Ball State University and the University of Indianapolis, co-hosted the public Relations Student Society of America 2016 National Conference.
The national conference typically takes place in a different city each year and university’s bid against each other to win hosting responsibility. This year was different.
Ball State students collaborated with students from the University of Indianapolis’ PRSSA chapter on a 52-page bid for the 2016 National Conference. Once Ball State and the University of Indianapolis won the bid, both PRSSA chapters collectively planned and organized the 2016 National Conference, just one year and a half in advance.
In addition to hosting the 2016 National Conference, the Ball State chapter was awarded the Star Chapter Award, an honor given to those who reach certain requirements set by PRSSA Nationals.
